Brechin Gardner Memorial Church
The red sandstone building has stood for more than a century on a site that was once a market garden and it is not only a memorial to the Reverend Alexander Gardner, but also to his son, a brilliant young lawyer who, sadly, died by his own hand.
It is also a testament to the talent of the architect, Sir John James Burnet, whose work is still highly regarded.
